Fishers High School Leaders for Life Club, partnered with Indiana Children’s Wish Fund on April 14, 2012, to hold a benefit concert, to grant the wish of Cameron Diaz. Cameron is a senior at Lewis Cass High School in Galveston, Indiana and has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. This special young man unselfishly decided to use his “wish” to provide books and electronic notepads for children with life threatening illnesses. The funds raised at the event will be used to purchase the books and notepads and then will be given to children’s hospitals in Indianapolis, in Cameron’s name. There was a huge crowd in attendance and nearly $5,500.00 was raised via ticket, silent auction and raffle sales.
A personalized video was shown at the concert from the professional, a capella group, Straight No Chaser
Indiana Children’s Wish Fund surprised Cameron with a laptop computer. It was our way to thank him for his gift to others.
Many thanks to J.T. Pastor for organizing this spectacular event. You too, are very special!
