All eligible Associates are able to enroll in one of our excellent Company-sponsored health plans within 30 days from hire. The plans are offered through Anthem and provide access to their extensive network of leading health care providers. We offer a choice between a traditional PPO or a consumer driven health plan (CDHP) that includes a Company contribution of $850 for Associate Only coverage or $1,700 for Associate +1/Family coverage.
Dental coverage through Metlife is available for all eligible Associates 30 days from hire. Associates can choose between the Standard Dental Plan (provides comprehensive dental coverage and is paid in full by Republic Airways for Associate Only coverage) or pay the difference in cost to enroll in the Dental Plus plan (provides a higher annual coverage maximum and orthodontic care).
One of the many benefits of working with us is the ability to fly free (or at a reduced rate) on our codeshare partners (American, Delta, United). In addition, Associates and eligible family members can travel on nearly 50 other airlines with which Republic has formed alliances. All travel related privileges are subject to applicable requirements and other restrictions.
We offer a competitive 401(k) retirement program through Charles Schwab. Associates may contribute up to 90% of their income on a pre-tax basis up to the annual IRS maximum. Upon your enrollment, the Company will begin matching 100% for the first 2.5% (3.0% for pilots) that you contribute to the plan. Contributions made by Republic Airways are vested immediately, and the match grows with your tenure at the organization.
Used in conjunction with the High Deductible Health Plan option, the HSA is a bank/investment account which an Associate opens through our partnership with HSA Bank. Republic Airways will deposit up to $850 or $1700 into the Associate’s account which can be used toward out-of-pocket medical expenses.
We offer Associates two types of flexible spending accounts (FSA): a health care account and a dependent care account. These accounts allow Associates to set aside pre-tax dollars for non-reimbursed medical, dental and vision expenses and, thereby, reduce taxable income. Associates who enroll in the CDHP are eligible to participate in a limited-purpose health care FSA (which can be used only for dental and vision expenses not covered by the CDHP).
We offer Benefit Hub to our Associates. Exclusive discounts to over 100,000 products and services (including local discounts). Options range from hotel stays and fitness center discounts to apparel and sporting events.
In addition to the free Life Insurance, regular Associates may elect to purchase additional life insurance coverage between $10,000 and $500,000 in $10,000 increments. Amounts over $250,000 are subject to evidence of insurability.
The short disability insurance program helps protect Associates when they are unable to work due to non-work-related (off the job) illness or injury. Benefits begin on the 8th consecutive day of total disability and can last for up to 26 weeks. The cost for this benefit is shared between the Company and the Associate and varies based on the Associates’ pay.
The long term disability insurance program pays a benefit of 60% of earnings (to a maximum of $5,000 per month) if an Associate cannot work because of a disabling illness or injury. The disability must be for at least 180 days and is offered to all eligible Associates. The premiums for this plan are based on age and salary.
Republic Airways offers a commuter expense reimbursement account which allows Associates to use pre-tax dollars to pay for parking and commuting expenses that are incurred in order to work.
The vision plan offered by Republic Airways provides Associates and their families with Company-paid vision care 30 days from hire. Associates can choose between two options, both are through Anthem BCBS and both are available at no cost to the Associate and to all eligible dependents.
Eligible Associates receive Company-paid group term life insurance equal to 2 times the Associate’s annual salary. Associates are automatically enrolled for this benefit. Eligibility starts after 30 days of full time employment.
If an Associate’s death is due to an accident, in addition to the free Life Insurance benefits, AD&D insurance is paid at 2 times the Associate’s annual salary. This benefit is paired with the free Life Insurance benefit and no enrollment is necessary. Associates may also be eligible to receive a portion of AD&D benefits for certain losses within 365 days of a covered accident.
We provide Company-paid dependent life for all regular Associates. Coverage for spouses is provided in the amount of $10,000. Plus, coverage for dependent children (up to age 26) in the amount of $5,000.
We offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to all Employees at no cost to the Employee. The EAP provides solutions to help Employees balance work and life through confidential and easily accessible services. Services include telephone counseling and referral services, face-to-face counseling visits, legal and financial referral and consultation, elder and child care referral and consultation, work/life services and website resources.
